Amalia Umeda Quartet will perform at the Jazztopad Festival
Amalia Umeda Quartet will perform at the 18th edition of the Jazztopad Festival, which will take place in Wrocław (Poland), from 12th to 21st November.
As a reminder, Amalia Umeda Quartet brings together four young Polish musicians, that we have been supporting for these past few months, within the framework of the Footprints program. Footprints is a European initiative, aiming to reform the music industry thanks to a mentoring and support program. Thus, we will organise a tour in the Nordic countries for the Polish band.
The Jazztopad Festival, which will soon celebrate its 20th anniversary, is a festival of jazz and improvised music. It is held every year in different venues in Wrocław. One of the most important events in the jazz calendar in this part of Europe. A special feature of this event, organized by the National Music Forum, are creative concerts. It includes projects and compositions created especially for the festival by the greatest artists of contemporary improvisation. Under the artistic direction of Piotr Turkiewicz.
It will be an opportunity for Amalia Obrębowska and her project to present exclusively the very first tracks of their repertoire. This while waiting for the release of their album in the coming months. Our Polish Quartet will perform at the closing night of the festival, along with Maciej Obara’s new project.
